Bio

Nancy Hutson is originally from Illinois and has been an artist since she was old enough to hold a pencil in her hand. In the early 1990’s she started on her current passion, crocheting art. She describes her art as being, “imbued with lively energy and joy. I love color and patterns which dance in my pieces.” Nancy has won 2 awards at the Self-Employed in the Arts (SEA Conference) of 2017 for her crochet piece “Coming Home (after a night of dreaming)”. Nancy has over 25 artists in her family, from 6 generations! Her father George Hutson was also an artist, and their combined work was shown at The Overture Center in Madison WI in 2018.
